Raffle success!
Thank you so much to everyone who donated this weekend at Stop & Shop! At the end of the first 7 hour day, my lips were nearly blue from the veggie coolers and I hadn't eaten since breakfast. BUT, it was all worth it when I counted up the $1700 raised over the past two days!! Way to go Nantucket--what an amazing community!
If you weren't able to make it and would still like to buy raffle tickets or make a donation, please email me at caitlinfparsons@gmail.com

Help Caitlin give bACK
Please help support my volunteer work to Africa this January!! I will be traveling to Rwanda for 2 months, followed by Uganda for another two months.
In Rwanda, I will work both with survivors of domestic violence and their children, through counseling, visitation, and education, and in local high schools to fight Gender Based Violence (GBV) and promote education to the younger generations. We will also support the women in small business ventures, so that they can make a better life for themselves and their children.
While in Uganda, we will travel deep into villages where little or no aid is offered and speak with the people (with the help of a translator!) about public health, HIV/AIDS, business/career development, domestic violence and other life style development activities. We will also be assisting a new program in some local schools that provides discussion around decision making, HIV prevention, cross-generational sex, and many other issues facing teenage Ugandans.
Please support me in this very worthy cause. If you'd like to check out either organizations' websites:
www.therealuganda.com
www.faithvictory.org
We all give what we can; mine is by actually physically traveling to the area and providing the aid, and yours is through helping send me there!
